Revolting Candidates 7th May 2026.
Despite our disdain and contempt for politics in general and political parties in particular, The Revolting Party is registered as political party with the Electoral Commission.
We are using our electoral status to give a very select number of electors a chance to openly revolt in the English Council Elections on 7th May 2026.
Voters throughout the land will inevitably select revolting councillors be they nominally Conservative, Labour, Reform Lid Dem or whatever.
The residents of Denby Dale and Crosland Moor in Kirklees have the rare opportunity to elect openly Revolting candidates. Jonathan Tilt, Supreme Leader of The Revolting Party is standing in Crosland Moor whilst Miri Finch will lead the Revolt in Denby Dale. Information on both candidates is available below.
Jonathan Tilt.
Candidate . Crosland Moor.
Elections are diabolic. But they give us a platform to suggest how things could be so much better and you the chance to reject the tried and tired mainstream options.
I could write at length about the dangers of an ever more powerful state. One in which state sponsored narratives must never be questioned. To paraphrase Thomas Jefferson I want to see a society in which “the government fears the people- not the other way round.”
I believe in open, honest debate in which people aren’t cancelled for holding unpopular opinions.
And I believe that the government doesn’t own me. I’m a free, soverign individual and provided I don’t infringe anyone else’s freedom I should be able to do whatever I want.
Are these concepts too revolting for you to vote for ….?
Miri Finch
Candidate. Denby Dale
